ROANN MCCLOSKEY (Amelia/Head Voice)
Roann is a British Algerian Queer award winning writer and performer. Her debut sell out show ‘My Father The Tantric Masseur’ has toured the UK, with sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre London. Bringing equal levels of heart and humour to her productions, we first collaborated in 2020 on our short film ‘Grown Ups’, and couldn’t be more excited to be working with Roann again to bring Amelia to life.
PAUL BAILEY (Sean)
Sean , 30, is Amelia’s boyfriend of two years. He loves Amelia, and cares about her deeply, but is growing increasingly frustrated with her unpredictable temperament.
Paul has been acting in front of the camera for eighteen years, and made it his full-time profession after graduating from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a Master’s Degree in Acting for Screen in 2015. He’s appeared in over 220 different productions, from no-budget student films to multi-million dollar productions (such as Harry Potter and Doctor Who), and has won accolades including multiple ‘Best Actor’ awards at festivals around the world, as well as a ‘Best Writer’ award for his debut scriptwriting endeavour.
MEGAN ROSE MCCARTHY (Waitress)
Waitress, 26, who works in the coffee shop.
Megan Rose McCarthy is from San Francisco, CA and has been living in London for the past two years. Megan is passionate about all aspects of film. She has a BFA in acting from Boston University as well as a certificate in classical acting from LAMDA. She has been in a number of national and international campaigns for brands like Google and Del Monte and has worked on countless short films over the years. Megan also recently graduated from the certificate film making course at London Film Academy, where she contributed to 3 short films in various roles. Megan loves improvisational comedy and yoga and hopes to be a holistic film maker, working both in front of and behind the camera as often as she can.
JULLIAN LLOYD PATTEN (Tube Guy)
Tube Guy, 31, is a classic London Hipster. Probably reading a book by Neitsche.
PEREKO MAKGOTHI (Cashier)
Makgothi is a young South African creative based in London. In 2019, she graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA Acting for Screen. She is an actress and voice-over artist who has also worked as an online radio presenter and content producer. These experiences contribute to her skilfulness, with her large voice and critical thoughts around society and the arts. She recently acted in a short film Never Walk Alone (2019) which was scheduled to show at the London Independent Film Festival. She has also been the voice for a short animation film with the University of the West of England. Currently, she is developing a business with her partner to facilitate hair workshops and grow into a boutique agency for hair stylists.
